It’s best if you have a number for a recovery service stored away, you know that you need to contact the police, get contact details of everyone involved, talk to your insurance company, have safety equipment in your car, make a car accident claim, get any repairs completed on your car, and check your health with a doctor. 

Look After The Tires 

The tires are an essential part of your car when it comes to staying safe on the roads. It can also help to lower your running costs if you make sure your tires are at the correct pressure and have the legally required amount of tread. If you notice that your tire tread has gone lower than it should be, make sure you get this done as soon as possible. You should also check for any bulges, tears, cuts, and debris such as nails. 

Oil Levels

Motor oil is an essential part of keeping your car running properly and keeping it healthy. If you don’t have the right oil levels you could cause your car to break down, and no one needs that to happen. Ideally, you should check your oil levels each time you fill up your car, particularly when you are going to travel a long distance

If you want to prevent your engine from overheating, you need to make sure that there is enough engine coolant. You need to make sure you check this before any long journey. If you notice that your engine temperature keeps getting high you should first look at your engine coolant levels.
