Today, The Car Spotter will be discussing the recent crash of  a black Ferrari 458 Italia after it was reported the driver challenged a Range Rover driver to a night time street race in Jerusalem.

The black Ferrari 458 crashed into the Range Rover, before crashing into a fence and pillar. Both drivers fled the scene immediately.

The Ferrari 458 has sustained heavy damage to the front left of the car, with the bumper, bonnet and wheel arch crumpled. The windscreen is smashed and the airbags have been deployed. The consequences and punishment of this sort of high speed reckless driving are very severe in Jerusalem, hence why the drivers thought it best to depart the scene.

It was estimated both vehicles were travelling at speeds of over 100km/h.

It is always a tragedy to see a supercar as magnificent as the 562bhp Ferrari 458 Italia looking like this. Clearly the 4.5L V8 Ferrari was far too much to handle for the reckless driver.

There are no pictures of the Range Rover.

In 2013, Brian of London blogged about the same Ferrari in Israel parking inconsideratelyacross two electric car spaces in a car park in Mamilla Mall, Jerusalem.

Clearly the owner doesn’t enjoy abiding by the law and due to his reckless nature he no longer has an intact Ferrari 458. I’m sure the law will catch up with him at some point. I can’t understand why a luxury Range Rover SUV would be challenged to a race with a Ferrari 458 initially, with the cars being completely different but that is besides the point. Fortunately it seems nobody was hurt which is the main priority.

What do you think of the totalled Ferrari 458 Italia?
