Today The Car Spotter brings you a special article about the lucky British Businessman who had purchased all three supercars/hypercars and now owns a McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari and a Porsche 918 Spyder.

He is believed to be the first British car enthusiast to own all three hybrid, limited edition supercars. It is known as the ‘Holy Trinity’ of hypercars.

The impressive picture shows Paul Bailey from Rutland driving his Porsche 918, his wife driving the Ferrari LaFerrari and his McLaren P1 behind.

He drove his £866,000  ($1.3m) McLaren P1 33 miles to the Ferrari dealership to collect the £1.2m  ($1.87m) Ferrari LaFerrari. His wife then drove the P1 and Mr Bailey drove the LaFerrari where they both then drove 100 miles south to collect his £780,000 ($1.1m) Porsche 918 which was driven by a friend.

Previously, the cars have only been seen together in magazines and photo shoots are each capable of accelerating from 0-60mph in under 3 seconds and top speeds of over 200mph. The combined cars have a staggering power output of 2,740bhp, the equivalent of 45 entry level Ford Fiestas.

They are the latest generation of ultra-performance automobiles which make use of hybrid technology and traditional fuel engines to produce maximum power outputs whilst still retaining fuel economies of over 90mpg.

Paul Bailey is a known petrol head and has described the trio of cars as “totally amazing”. He sold his telephone conferencing business for £28 million in 2012.

He explains that he has been waiting about two years for the LaFerrari, after being offered one of five in the UK however the levels of personalisation were not to his standards so he endured a longer wait.

The McLaren P1 is the rarest with only 375 built. Next is the Ferrari LaFerrari with only 499 being produced and finally the Porsche 918 with just 918 being made.

Paul Bailey is a member at Silverstone Supercar Driver and he has been raffling off £1 tickets to win a go in his McLaren P1. The total proceeds to go to charity so far are over £20,000.

Paul Bailey has said, ‘I live a very surreal life and being the first to own all three does not feel real. This is why I want o use and share the cars with enthusiasts,’

What a fantastic set of cars Paul Bailey has been fortunate enough to purchase. Anybody who is remotely interested in supercars/hyper cars can only be jealous. It seems the cars will be driven rather than kept in storage which is more than can be said for most and Mr Bailey is using the exclusivity of the cars to raise money for charity which is always nice to see.

What do you think of the three supercars/hypercars? Would you purchase all three cars at once? Do you prefer the McLaren P1, the Ferrari LaFerrari or the Porsche 918?
